RMT Robotics Answers the Call at Tire Technology Expo 2007
February 19, 2007
Delegates at Tire Technology Expo 2007 in Köln, Germany, will get an opportunity to hear key insights on the cutting-edge gantry technology that is redefining Green Tire Handling and Cured Tire Distribution with a particular focus on press delivery and final finish solutions.
RMT Robotics, a pioneer in the development of large-scale gantry solutions for the tire manufacturing industry, will offer its expertise on ways to improve the performance of storage, retrieval, palletizing and press delivery for both green and cured tire applications. Doug Pickard and Bill Torrens of RMT Robotics will be available to answer questions.
"With more than 15 years of tire industry experience, and clients that include some of the world's top tire manufacturers, RMT is supremely capable of handling any tire automation project," said Bill Torrens, Director Sales and Marketing.
As a robotics manufacturer and integrator, RMT boasts the largest tire installation base in the world with its systems handling more than 550,000 tires per day. This is an opportunity to learn about some of the smart new innovations in automation, including RMT's modular tire palletizing solutions for taking full advantage of rick-rack and stacking bar pallet configurations.
In 2006, RMT launched its bi-annual newsletter, Stacked! From the fall issue, read "Lean Logistics: Goodyear's Automated Warehouse Puts Customers on Top" and learn how Goodyear replaced manual processes that were once thought to be too complex to automate. Headcount reduction, improved customer fill rates, faster, more accurate deliveries and a reduction of on-hand inventory were just some of the benefits.
