Electrical Detailer
RMT is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Electrical Engineering Department as an Electrical Detailer. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will include the following:
- Perform tasks assigned by the Engineering Manager to augment and support on-going project designs, conforming to standard drafting practices
- Complete drawing mark-ups of engineering changes
- Generate support drawings for projects including BOMs, labels, etc...
- Maintenance of device & system engineering portfolios to support continuous improvement within the Electrical Design department
- Generate electrical schematics according to RMT standard policies (BOM parts look-up, device drawing generation)
- Assist in the modularization and standardisation of RMT ‘seed' electrical drawings, incorporating RMT standards and ‘lessons learned' from past projects
Occasional travel may be required.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications
- A graduate from a post secondary electrical program with related electrical design experience of schematics diagrams, pneumatics diagrams, panel layouts and electrical component specification
- Familiarity with electrical manufacturing processes
- Basic understanding of robot operations, including mechanical, electrical, and software interfacing
- A strong drive to learn and the ability to focus on tasks.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical 2011 and MS Office programs
- Organizational abilities and strong communication skills
