Project Manager

Position Description

The Project Manager is responsible for all elements and phases of large robotic automation projects including areas such as system definition leading directly to layout approval, scope adherence, problem solving, conflict resolution, schedule adherence, cost tracking, change orders, documentation and customer liaison.

In this leadership role, the Project Manager will work with highly skilled mechanical, electrical and software professionals to ensure that projects are completed on time and on budget to the highest levels of safety and quality. Significant travel to customer sites will be required to conduct project meetings and during project start-up and commissioning.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a university degree in Mechanical Engineering combined with 5 years of relevant progressive experience managing large material handling automation projects.   The candidate will possess a high degree of skill and efficiency using AutoCAD 2000, MS-Project and MS-Office (including Word and Excel) software products.  He/she is a skilled communicator, motivator, leader, decision maker, and excels in customer-focused environments. A technology or technologist diploma will be considered in light of relevant experience.  Experience in conveyor design and functionality is an asset.
